How to upgrade to a lower cost, higher quality and
healthier international lifestyle in the paradise of your choice!
By Peter Macfarlane
Yeah, right, I know you've heard it all before… Blah, blah, blah. Another
business opportunity ad disguised as an article. Right?
NO! Below I'm going to reveal some serious information about how you can change
your life, and enhance your freedom and wealth. There is no cost involved, and
I'm not going to ask you to buy anything from me in this entire article. I
promise.
You can surf away from this page now and forever wonder what it was all
about, or you can give me ten minutes of your time to read through it
properly. All I would ask in return, is that if you choose to read my
article, please give it the attention it deserves. Don't skim it, because
you need to read between the lines and think while you are reading,
to understand how this could apply to you. There is no ABC 3 steps to
wealth creation. It requires some effort on your part - most importantly of
all, thinking. The point of this article is not so much to give you a road
map, as to make you think!
I would genuinely be delighted if after reading this article you would send
me an email to let me know what you think of it, and to expand on these ideas.
My email address is at the bottom of the page. If you don't like my ideas, you
will have lost ten minutes. If you do, who knows what you stand to gain?
So please go get a cup of coffee, come back, sit down, relax and open your mind…
Still with me? Great! First of all, I would like to introduce myself. I'm not
somebody who likes to blow my own trumpet. In fact people who know me, know I am
a modest person who shies away from the spotlight.
That's why I don't put my photo here, for example. It's not that I'm ugly! But I
also know that you cannot believe everything you read (or even photos you see)
on the internet. It's important, when you read new things and ideas, to know who
wrote them and why they are qualified to write about the subject.
So, here goes. My name is Peter Macfarlane. I'm 38 years old. I grew up in the
South of England, studied in London for a while, then straight afterwards I left
the UK. Since then I've lived in at least ten different countries, running
businesses in each of them.
I remember on my last day in "sixth form" (that's what the last year of
secondary education was called in the UK in those days) our whole class agreed
to write a short summary of where we were planning to be in ten years' time,
seal it an envelope, and hand it to our teacher for safe keeping. I wrote that I
wanted to be an international businessman, with business interests in various
areas. And for sure, that's what I achieved in the following ten years.
That was my first lesson in goal setting. Well, that, and a book called (don't
laugh) The Lazy Man's Way to Riches by Joe Karbo which I read as a
teenager. It's out of print today, but you can buy used copies on Amazon. It
contains, simple, good advice, just as valid today as it was back in the
seventies when it was published. I recommend it.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, I had always been interested in law and
finance. I'm good at details, like dotting I's and crossing t's which is
important in a lawyer. The problem is most lawyers don't see the wood for the
trees. They miss out on the entrepreneurial 'big picture'. And they tend to know
the laws and legal procedures of only one country, which just doesn't equip them
for today's globalized world of commerce. So I specifically set out to be
different - to understand different legal systems and the associated
business cultures, and different ways of doing things.
My fascination with things international, together with my overseas contacts and
my language skills soon led me into what could be described as the "offshore"
business. Offshore in those days was about reducing taxes and avoiding
bureaucracy. It was a very different world then, but I have kept on top of the
changes since and this is still my most important field of endeavor.
For more than a decade, I've been writing articles on asset protection, offshore
banking, investing and the like for The Q Wealth Report. That's been my
constant business. In the meantime I've dabbled, quite successfully I might add,
in commercial real estate, stocks and shares, and e-commerce. Right now I'm
planning to get into the beef-raising business in South America. But all of
these have been sidelines to my main offshore consulting and investing business.
I'll be pleased to prove all this to you, by the way, if we get to know each
other better.
A few years ago, I was invited by Richard Cawte to speak at seminars. This was
quite an inspiration for me! Richard is a motivational speaker and mentor who is
an acknowledged expert on wealth psychology.
At the seminars, I was always the nuts and bolts guy - the serious, studious
speaker giving technical information on what I knew best: the offshore world.
Panama companies, offshore bank accounts, that kind of thing.
But it was also a chance for me to listen to fellow speakers and, perhaps even
more importantly, to hear feedback from the guests at the seminars. And
something new dawned on me, something which I had always known at the back of my
mind but that I had kind of missed out on:
Going offshore today is just as much about making money, as about preserving
money! Today you can go offshore with zero, and still generate wealth.
For years I had been focused on helping rich people preserve their assets
against the likes of unfriendly governments, million dollar lawsuits over spilt
cups of coffee and so on. Still very important stuff by the way, because the
economic and legal systems of the US and Western Europe are near to collapse.
Sure, these rich people were getting richer, because I could show them how to
legally cut through the bureaucracy, thereby reducing costs, and help them
reduce taxes. These days, I show them how to get their money out of the country
and collapsing currencies, into hard, tangible assets like gold.
But today, you don't need to rich to go offshore. Quite the opposite, in
fact. You just need a dollop of common sense, an open mind, and you can
build fortune and freedom, tax-free… in the offshore, international and
virtual worlds.
Do you need capital? I won't say it doesn't help. Most westerners have
capital these days, tied up in their homes. The value of your home is falling. I
know people who are breaking their backs working eighteen hour days just to pay
their mortgages and feed their families. The problem is simply that they are not
aware they have a choice. But they do. And that is my area of expertise, which
I'm writing about today.
I believe I'm uniquely qualified to write about this because not only
have I seen other people's successes, but I've done it myself. I've run
different businesses in different countries and I really know what works and
what doesn't. I am, also, a self-made millionaire. I didn't come to this as
a writer with a new idea and decide to write about it. As you get to know me
better, you will see my track record. I am sometimes called "Mr.
International."
In most cases these same people I'm talking about, the ones who are stuck in
the wage-slave routine, could sell their house, buy a new place in a tropical
paradise like Belize, a vibrant city like Buenos Aires, or really whatever place
turns them on… They would have cash in the bank, a much lower cost of living, no
tax to pay, and a lot of free time to work on whatever business they like.
However, these days you really can go offshore with absolutely no capital. I'll
give you a concrete example. Just recently I talked to a young guy who came to
one of our seminars (Recipes for Success, in Cancun, Mexico). Let's call
him Jake, to respect his privacy. Jake was earning relatively well working in
California for one of the Hollywood studios, but he wasn't happy with his life.
All his earnings went on rent, car payments and living expenses. His real dream
was to travel and live from photography. I was able to show him how to
drastically reduce his outgoings, and how to achieve a much better quality of
life living offshore.
He may not have so many material things in the beginning, but he is already much
happier as his plans are coming together. And happiness, finally, is what we are
all seeking. I think it's an old Chinese saying… the wealthiest person is not
the one with the most, but the one who can live happily with the least.
During the seminar I was able to introduce Jake to a self-made real estate
millionaire, Thomas Bolther, who started with nothing on leaving college and
built up a multi-million-Euro real estate empire in four countries. Thomas is
still relatively young. So this was a great inspiration for Jake.
Soon, Jake will be free. Free from stress and worry. Free to be creative. And
that, in my view, is the secret to wealth creation! Because, as my good friend
and fellow Q Wealth expert Dr. Richard Cawte says,
Your ships come in over a calm sea!
"If you are in a permanent state of high stress, worrying about money,
fretting over how you're going to pay the bills, you will find it harder to
bring the wealth that you want into your life. It's a simple rule: it
doesn't matter how many ships there are out at sea or how full of goodies
they are, none of them can get into the harbor if there's a storm raging. We
all have plenty of ships out there in the seas of opportunity, but often we
are so anxious, so worried, that we create too much turbulence for them to
get to the dock."
And what, after all, is wealth? Here at The Q Wealth Report we study
wealth according to the dictionary definition. This might surprise you. It's not
about flashy cars or high profile lifestyles. The word wealth stems from the
Anglo-Saxon "Weal". Here's what is says in the dictionary about it:
1) "Wealth, riches, possessions"
2) "Welfare, well-being, happiness"
3) "The welfare of a country or community: the general good"
So, wealth is all the things that we normally think of: riches and
possessions. But it is also a lot more than that. It includes a sense of well-being,
which is obvious if you stop to think about it. There is no point having money
if you do not have health to go with it.
What about you? Are you beginning to see the relevance to your life?
My plan for Offshore Wealth will work for anybody. Doesn't matter if you are
rich or poor, fresh out of college or approaching retirement. Many of my
offshore clients are successful middle-class business owners, who have made a
decent living up until now, but are seeking to enjoy life more, sell or delegate
management of their business, and work in a consultancy role from an offshore
base.
What normally happens at this stage, however, is people put up a barrier.
Everybody does it. It's the way we've been conditioned. Doesn't matter where we
are in life. Often, the barrier is something like "It's a great idea for the
future, but I can't do it right now due to other commitments." Rubbish! If
there's a will, there's away. If you put off action, you are at best delaying
your freedom and wealth creation, and at worst stopping it dead in its tracks.
Don't get caught in that classic trap…
Are you too busy earning a living to make any money?
What about families? Unfortunately, they are often a source of negativity.
You would be amazed how some people hate change. Our parents, uncles, aunts,
cousins and so on are used to seeing us as they have always known us. If you
start to move outside their comfort zone, they get worried. My advice is simply
not to talk to them about your plans more than necessary, if they cannot be
supportive. You have to have the confidence that what you are doing is right for
you.
Kids in school? There is simply no better education for your kids, to prepare
them for today's world, than teach them a new language and culture. If you
choose carefully, you can move to a place with good public schools and your kids
will flourish there, for free. No need for expensive "international" or "bilingual"
schools. I know. I've seen it. I've got kids too, so again I do know what I'm
talking about, and I'm happy to share my experiences with you. Most of the world
is a much healthier and wholer place for kids to grow up than the UK, or the
USA. I would never want my kids to grow up in the UK's lager lout culture where
kids are killing each other in school playgrounds!
Let's go back to health, which as I said is part of wealth. If I tell you that
health is the most important thing in life, you would agree, right? But how many
people are pawning their health? Every time you feel stressed out by work or
business, every time you eat a zapped TV dinner instead of a nutritious home-cooked
meal made with fresh ingredients, you are borrowing against your life! That's
another thing we at The Q Wealth Report cover in our seminars and
articles, with the assistance of an expert celebrity chef and nutritionist.
Now let's talk solutions…
How depressing it is when people scare you with demons, then fail to talk
solutions. That's a big problem in the offshore finance world where I come from.
Big Brother is watching your every move and is out to get you. That may be true,
but if you act out of fear, you are not in control of the situation. That means
somebody else is controlling you. What can you do about it?
You already know the real solution has to come from within you. Every one of us
can do it. But we often need some help and support along the way. In the form of
practical information, and positive inspiration. Most people need a fair dollop
of both.
I've mentioned a few names here, besides my own… like Thomas Bolther the self
made real estate man, Richard Cawte the wealth psychologist, and Jacques
Haeringer the nutrition and well-being expert. If you like what I've written
here, you will just love reading these guys. I do hope you can make it to one of
our seminars sometime soon and meet them in person.
I truly believe in what I write about, and the well-being of others is a
concern to me. I've realized, time and time again through personal
experiences, it's really true that the more you give, the more you get. I'm
excited about my own lifestyle and my personal successes, and I'm keen to
share them with others. By helping others, I will be helping myself… I know
that. That is one of the reasons why I'm writing this article today. I've
discovered that money isn't everything. And by not worrying about money, it
just flows into my offshore bank accounts! I can show you how to do the same.
I know there are lots of people out there selling business opportunities,
investments, positive thinking courses and things of that nature. I hope I've
got the message across to you that there are not so many people out there who
are offering The Q Wealth Report's type of advice and information. In
fact, I believe we are unique. Real, practical international and offshore
lifestyle experience, with solutions you can use in a nuts and bolts manner.
But for now, I'm remembering I promised that I was not going to try to sell you
