“The greatest wealth is health.” – Virgil (circa 40 B.C.)
That wealth and health are deeply tied should be of no surprise to anyone. All it takes is a minor health scare to put your priorities into perspective!
We here at Q Wealth have long held the position that true wealth goes far beyond the fiscal, and most certainly includes the physical.
Wealth is about quality of life. Furthermore, quality of life depends on finding the right balance. “First World” problems such as obesity, stress, and detachment from physical activities show a distinct lack of balance that is, very ironically, often because of the pursuit of wealth!
Long workdays spent sitting at a computer, looming deadlines, the frustration of a grim economic and political climate. Launching or managing new businesses, trying to eek out a decent return on investments, losing hard earned money to taxes…
To combat the stress, lack of energy, and creeping waistline, you may exercise and try to eat well, but how well are you really doing? How effective are the current techniques you are applying to maintain or improve your overall (mental and physical) health?
I’ll state this plainly: great health leads to great wealth…but great health is seemingly difficult to come by.
Because increasing your wealth is our number one priority here, I will be seeking out some of the top experts in various fields of health so that our readers and members can benefit from their knowledge and experiences. Some of this I will publish on the blog for free, but the highest level advice will be reserved for our members only.
Of course we are going to do this the Q Wealth way, which means cutting through the B.S. and finding real, actionable solutions that may seem contrary to all you’ll hear in popular media. That’s usually the sign of a good start!
“Hacking” Wealth & Health.
I don’t think we have ever used the term, but the solutions we offer our readers and members could be considered “wealthhacking”. The term “hack” of course, has two meanings. It can be either a compliment or an insult. It’s called a hack when you do something in an ugly, quick, or sloppy way. But when you do something so clever that you somehow beat the system, that’s also called a hack. I hope I don’t have to tell you which sense defines our work for you!
On the other side of the Wealth/Health coin are a new breed of so called “citizen scientists” that call themselves “biohackers”.
On that note I have some exciting news. Later in the month I will be doing a Q Wealth exclusive video interview with one of the foremost biohackers in the world, Dave Asprey. Dave is the founder of www.bulletproofexec.com and www.upgradedself.com. What else?
Dave is a Silicon Valley investor, computer security expert, and entrepreneur who spent 15 years and $250,000 to hack his own biology. He upgraded his brain by >20 IQ points, lowered his biological age, and lost 100 lbs without using calories or exercise. The Financial Times calls him a “biohacker who takes self-quanti?cation to the extreme of self-experimentation.” His writing has been published by the New York Times and Fortune, he’s presented at Wharton, Kellogg, the University of California, and Singularity University, and he’s been featured on CNN, Nightline, MSNBC, and in Vogue, Men’s Health, and Rolling Stone.
Dave is holding a fascinating and unprecedented event in just over a week that he’s calling “The Bulletproof Conference: Biohack Your Life” and because we are telling you about this event on such short notice Dave has agreed to let me extend to you a discount of $50 per ticket when you use the coupon code QWEALTHREPORT.
