Whatever the mainstream media comes up with, the truth of the War on Terror is that it is just the next "War" in a long line of conflicts that have been waged for thousands of years.

In the middle ages, we had the "War on Heresy", during which thousands of innocent people were killed for being "heretics" - often with no proof of guilt except an admission forced by torture. This war went on for centuries until it became a less successful way of controlling the majority.

Towards the end of last century came the "War on Drugs". Under the banner of attacking the spread of drugs, governments worldwide introduced laws restricting our freedoms. Very few drug barons were ever brought to justice, but the innocent majority was successfully controlled by a media campaign that most people believed.

Now we have the "War on Terror". With it, you can expect to see even more legislation against personal and financial privacy, against the majority - irrespective of how many terrorists are brought to justice, and how real the threat to our daily lives really is.

The most difficult step to take in life is to throw out all the education you have had that has taught you that making money is a bad thing.
