DR sounds interesting, but there is some mention of an estate tax in that country. Is this the case? If so, does it apply to assets held within DR at death, or does it apply to all assets held throughout the world? With US estate tax increases looming, this is a valid concern.

Does Paraguay or Uraguay have estate taxes and what assets are affected (domestic or foreign)?

Thanks for some help on this matter, but I plan on dying eventually and I don't need multiple countries assessing their own estate taxes on my heirs.
